It’s been a long time coming, but my transition from a site solely for blogging to a full-fledged author site is complete!
I created my blog Lyric Fire in 2009 and initially it was just a forum to feature my poetry, but it grew into a place that became a writer’s haven and sanctuary. I joined several blogging communities, made friends with writers from across the globe, read some amazing work by others, participated in writing challenges, guest posted for other blog sites, won competitions and more.
Through my blog I was able to share my dreams, challenges, joys, heartaches and losses as well as voice my opinion about what’s happening in the world. What an amazing experience it has been!
To go from being a blogger working a day job to now being a business owner (shout out to the freelancers and contractors!) with a literary agent who will soon be sending out my manuscript to publishers (Yes, that is really happening NOW) is awesome.
Now don’t get it twisted. I have not met my goal just yet. I want to be published and for my books to rest in the hands of readers who want to go on the journeys I create. I long to be a home owner with a living room with a fireplace and an office with ample space for me to write and lounge when my eyes and fingers get tired.
There is a lot more work to do and I am glad to have you with me! If you followed my blog, please connect with me at my new home, www.tamekamullins.com.
I will still share blog posts and updates about my path to publication. As my writing career grows, I will provide information about my books and where you can meet up with me at events and book signings. My ‘pen’ will still burn the page!
Oh, before I go, I have to thank my literary agent Jennifer who pushed and supported me to get this site done and for recommending the work of web designer Ashley Parkin. She was AMAZING. I would recommend her services to anyone who wants a patient and creative designer who will work with you step-by-step to create a site that will mirror what you’ve envisioned. I can’t thank her enough.
Thanks also to the readers of Lyric Fire. You will always be appreciated. Thanks for your continued support!
Let me know what you think about the new site! Share your thoughts about what you like or any memories you have from the old blog.
THANK YOU!

Thanks so much Dawn! I am loving my new writing space and I will continue to soar. I want you to do the same dear heart!
I found an link to you via Napowrimo. Now I’m following you! I write poetry and short fiction, and a (lackadaisical) blog. I’m enjoying your Na PoWriMo offerings. I like to read and link up with other women writers. Look forward to reading more.
Hi again Moira. Thanks so much for connecting with me. I also like to read other authors and was part of a pretty large blogging community when I first created my blog. I am finding my footing again since moving over to WordPress and some periods of not blogging, but things are picking up. Feel free to drop your current blog post link in your comments from now on so I can support you as well. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks Tameka, I’m at http://www.wordswords-moirag.blogspot.com

Thanks so much Lidy! I appreciate your kind words! Best wishes to you as well on all of your projects. Have a blessed day!
