As I prepare for my literary agent to start sending out my manuscript pitches, one of my homework assignments was to turn my blog into an author website. That means that Lyric Fire will soon be hosted on WordPress and it will look a lot different.
I have had a wonderful time using the TypePad service and have met a lot of wonderful writer friends in the time I’ve been here. I’ve been blogging for five years and have learned so much! I’ve shared my poetry, commentary on entertainment and social issues and even written about blogging itself.
This blog was never structured as a place to only talk about specific things as I gave myself the freedom to write without shackles about the things that I’m most passionate about.
My new website will still have a blog component to it, but the posts will be centered around writing, publishing and my personal writing projects. I am feeling very positive about the upcoming publication of my novel and I will also share that process there as well.
So, this is not a goodbye to blogging, but a chance to step into a new chapter of my life as a writer.
The new site will be completed soon and I will share info on where to find me in my new space!
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog over the past few years. I truly appreciate it! You are warmly welcomed to continue connecting to me at my new site when it launches as well.
These are exciting times for me and I’m looking ahead to the unknown with hope, positivity and a little fear. I have to be honest! Fear is the great motivator though. It will push me to stay focused and produce the best writing that I can!
Cheers and thanks again!
