NaPoWriMo #7- National Poetry Writing Month
Hidden Agenda
sharply pressed suit
brief case brimming with important documents
colgate smile charming many constituents
hands absent of calluses
heart carved in stone
late nights filled with nothing and no one
you take to the web
screen lights up giving you access to the world
you’re so powerful during the day
but deflated feelings in the dark
turn you into a cyber monster
stories about crime and tragedy turn you on
political leaders trying to do good also are on your radar
your crisp white shirt is now wrinkled and thrown in the corner
you take to typing
negativity and hate is spewed as you gleefully watch
scrolling down the page people admonish you
your heart beats fast
you know you’re making an emotional impact
robotic and wooden
jaded and chilled to the bone
hands without calluses
but destined to die alone

Wow that is a cold one… I guess there are people like that.. what a sad lonely life it must be .. Good look into a sad person…Touching in a way to know that people are like that

Hey there… Yeah, it made me sad to write it, but after reading so many horrible comments on news sites, I felt prompted to process my feelings poetically.
Woah! Oh my…let’s chat (really, lol). xo
Hey Creative Cookie! Yes, whoa indeed! That’s what I say every time I go to the comments sections of a news article looking to see what people are thinking about certain issues. More often than not, there are some engaging and constructive comments, but they are sometimes outweighed by the negative ones. It makes me very concerned about our society.
Chat soon mama!
