I find that as much as I love to read, go see great films and other artistic works, an added pleasure is the debrief afterward. So much happens in these exchanges because you get a chance to hear different perspectives and the discussions can give you inspiration for your own work.
Over the weekend I saw the film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, based on the book by Stieg Larsson. I hardly ever see a film before reading the book, but I was really interested in the visual journey of the story so I decided to mix it up a bit. This film had me thinking about the characters well after I left the theater and that’s a good thing.
Does anyone want to discuss the movie or the book? Please share your thoughts and comments below and I will respond.
Blog Bonus: Below are both the Sweden (English) and US theatrical trailers for the movie. Which one appeals to you more and why?
Artist waiting to debrief…

I’ll need to look into this. If I pick it up or catch it at the theater, I’ll meet you write here. (Write. Get it?)
