Entrepreneur in Spring Time

This is my dVerse contribution for this week. The theme is spring. If you want to read more poetry on this topic, click on the aforementioned link.

I see her sometimes across the way

Every dawn is an adventure

She sings mission statement music

Straightens her skirt with expectant fingers

There is a spring in her step

Eyes lined in kohl

They pop

Sending signals of enticement

New business on the horizon

Her skin is fragrant

Silhouette promising

She is an entrepreneur

No W 2’s necessary

She hums to herself

She doesn’t need a jacket today

The sun is like fabric

Keeping her warm

Dividends were down last quarter

Great things are coming

She’s a business woman

In an up and down field

Sometimes you flourish

Others you tank

No matter

She’s got this

On her way to the office

She spots a flower

It wasn’t there a week ago

The bud has burst open

Revealing bright pink

Just as she will later

She’s an entrepreneur

In an up and down field

Every day is one day

sounds like she has a good and relaxed way to live life… taking it as it comes – enjoying the flowers along the way… nice
