Lyric Fire: NaPoWriMo 2012 – Day 5 of 30 Poems in 30 Days – Vanilla & Blue

NaPoWriMo 2012 – 30 Poems in 30 Days – Day 5

It’s day five of the NaPoWriMo challenge and I’m in a freelancing mood so no poetry prompt today. Just some free verse:

Vanilla & Blue

blind seeing eye

piercing vanilla and blue

distracted by earth sounds

trapped between secular and heavenly

walking a tightrope loosely

hands dangling at sides

filled with hubris and anxiety

bouncing

flying

hurling weight

impacting energies

intersecting with dispassionate personas

disecting mazes

ingesting human pollution

reaching for divinity

    Hello.
Life is indeed a balancing act. Nice flow to this. Love the image you chose…it has some of my favorite colors…pink & purple.

I love walking through your emotions and meanderings when you write poetry! “Piercing vanilla and blue”…oh, I loved that!!! It’s always so much fun to come here and be literally riveted by a scrap of words twined together and that one line did it for me. My mind was captured, my imagination flew. Just beautiful, Tameka.
    Much love,
    – Dawn

“ingesting human pollution, reaching for divinity”..I loved that! We have to go through the ugly layers to get to the beautiful sometimes..

How difficult it can be to know wrong from right….shades of grey mixed with vanilla and blue. Beautiful, Tameka!

  18. Corinne, shades of grey mixed with vanilla and blue is the human color combination of life. I love that you put grey in there! Happy Easter weekend to you!
