Lyric Fire: Searching For True – A Poetic Trilogy In Reverse – Part I

SeArChInG fOr TrUe

out in the alley back

down yonder by the railroad tracks

moonlight beams

illuminating the life

hollowed out

emptied and splintered

limping toward an uncertain destiny

wrapping arms around stillness

holding tight to lies

luxuriating in felonies

instagram recorded the moments

etched into never

amplified by pain

framed in crimson

his kiss broke the skin

penetrated the pulsing dark hole

sending shivers

illiciting sighs

breathing in its totality

measuring the circumference

hiding the true dimensions

packing them away

stockpiled smiles

one for each day

breathless from running the race

steps grow short

sun dims

colors fade

life lived in reverse

tires spun out on an empty road way

AAA delayed

lost on arrival

traveler terminated

searching for true
