My Blog Lyric Fire: NaPoWriMo #4 – Poetic Objective

NaPoWriMo #4 – National Poetry Writing Month

For this “poem” I will look around my home office and write down the first words that come to my mind when focusing on certain objects. Will it be lyrical? You be the judge.

Poetic Objective

An iPod shuffles

a telephone rings

photographs bring memories of elusive things

degree in a frame

books, but no fame

only a curly haired writer

with two last names

vitamin infused water

with a purplish hue

a dentyne ice gum container

with none left to chew

rain doing donuts on a dingy window pane

abandoned paints and brushes

grace my artsy domain

overflowing waste basket

threatens to spill

my printer is home to unopened bills

who has time to budget, balance books and attend?

i’m just a preoccupied wordy child

with only one friend
