My Blog Lyric Fire: I Know Why You’re Crying On The Train!

There is an unremovable stain on your brain

A longing in your heart

Uncontained

It consumes you

Envelops you

Taunts you

Everybody sees

Senses and tastes your pain

I know why you’re crying on the train

You say your neck being out of alignment

Is what’s causing you such distress

A deeper issue is actually at play

It’s much too painful to confess

You wear an armor of gold, red and green

A picture of supposed beauty for all to see

Your words though spit fire and self loathing

Your outlook is putrid and mean

You decry others curves as you starve your own soul

You despise anything youthful and bold

Your diet consists of diet coke and a pack of smokes

While you herald healthy living

You eat chocolate in the dark

And think no one is looking

The day wears down and night falls

Your real job begins

The haughty sales rep during light’s bright sun

is now crooking and hooking

You are the most alive in this secret world

You sell yourself abundantly to man-boys and grown-girls

The line doesn’t blur

The makeup smears revealing inner fear

It’s 3 am and everyone’s weary

Necks hang slack on tired shoulders

You’re wide awake rocking from the steel vessels movements

Liquid emotion courses down your cheeks and into existence

Your vile activities are completed but your desire is persistent

You long for more dark and seedy proclivities

A tall smoked out model type stares at you through black tears

She sees your truth

No need to hide

She is you

It’s all relative, connected and seemingly profane

You return her stare with a smile

You know why she’s crying on the train
